Algarve Tavira amongst the world's best beaches for children
 
 

Here, you can find one of the best beaches in the world for children, according to the “Travel with Children” guide book, published by the same company.

“At the eastern end of the Portuguese south coast, this quiet town has a magnificent untamed beach that goes on for miles. And, best of all, you take a boat to get to the beach,” is the description quoted by Reuters about the beach of Terra Estreita, in Santa Luzia.

The “Travel with Children” guide book lists the top ten beach holidays for families with children, with Portugal being represented by Tavira, in the Algarve. Beaches from the southern coast of Italy, Australia, South Africa, Hawaii, Thailand, the Cook Islands, Mexico and Indonesia complete the Lonely Planet list.
